I’ve had many ask why I got emotional at the #CWCFinal. I was. I’ve never seen such joy in women’s cricket. Amanjot’s tears got me first, then interviewing Pratika as her teammates lifted her. The enormity of a first-time winner, a game-changing night for women’s cricket!

Women’s cricket has come a long way. In South Africa, support and investment have improved, but we are still behind countries like India, England and Australia.
At the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, @laurawolvaardt and her team achieved something truly remarkable.
The Proteas Women won their first-ever ODI World Cup semifinal to become the first South African senior team, male or female, to reach an ODI World Cup final.
Wolvaardt herself set new milestones:
First South African woman to 5,000 ODI runs
First captain to score a century in both a semi-final and the final of a Women’s ODI World Cup
Most runs in a single edition of the World Cup, surpassing Alyssa Healy
@kappie777 also made history by becoming the all-time leading wicket-taker in Women’s ODI World Cups.
All of this was achieved without a professional women’s league. Imagine the possibilities if one existed.
This team has made history, inspired a nation, and shown what is possible with talent and heart.
Kudos to coach @bilas1980 for guiding the team and helping them believe in their potential.
So proud of Laura, Marizanne, and the entire team. 🇿🇦

India create history in Navi Mumbai, winning their first-ever Women’s ODI World Cup title in front of a packed house. Hard luck to South Africa, who can hold their heads high after a hard fought campaign. A night that will be remembered for years to come. #CWC25

I’ve always wanted to visit #Visakhapatnam and when I got the call-up to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup broadcast team, I was excited to see matches scheduled here.
Not only would I finally get to experience the City of Destiny 57 years after my mom did, but I’d get to do what I love in the land of my forefathers.
Yesterday’s India v South Africa game was one for the ages, with high-quality cricket, an electric atmosphere, and the joy of calling the action alongside some of the very best in the game. ❤️

A week ago, I had the privilege of being part of the SuperSport team broadcasting the Betway SA20 Season 4 Player Auction. What an experience, with these legends leading the way with outstanding analysis and predictions. Looking forward to a fantastic summer of cricket ahead!
