Kass and Makhaya Join Rajesh in Isidingo Cameo

What fun to make a cameo appearance on SABC3’s infamous Isidingo with Proteas legend Makhaya Ntini and veteran actor, Jack Devnarain.

Makhaya and I were featured in a cricket scene with Rajesh Kumar (Devnarain), talking up the Proteas’ prospects at the ICC T20 World Cup in India, following the upset loss to England in the team’s first encounter.

The script had Rajesh exclaiming how the company was behind the Proteas when Brad Haines (Izak Davel) storms into Rajesh’s office bemoaning the Proteas’ ‘choke’ against England.

In the scene, Makhaya was quick to stare Brad down over the ‘choke’ tag, and the popular Isidingo actor beat a hasty exit after an apology and some uneasy small talk.

I found it impressive how the classic SA soapy kept up with life’s current trends.
