I was honoured to be invited to speak at Doha Goals 2014, about the promotion of women in sport.

Doha Goals is the world’s premier platform for world leaders to create initiatives for global progress through sport.

The session was moderated by Qatari-based sports broadcaster, Leila Samati, and featured an international cast of thought leaders from around the world.

I was excited to join conversation with Bosnian basketball player, Indira Kaljo, Marlene Bjornsrud, Executive Director of Women’s Coaching USA, Tunisian tennis player, Selima Sfar, and 18 time Olympic and World Champion athlete, Veronica Campbell-Brown.

Women’s sport has many challenges, and it was heartening to hear of the efforts taking place to move women’s sport forward around the world.

I also appreciated the opportunity to fly the gsport flag and speak about what’s happening in South Africa with regards to raising the profile of women’s sport here.
